This Lord’s Day, we return to our series in the Old Testament book of Job and our second look at the advice given to Job from his Eliphaz. In his counsel, there is much truth about who God is and what God does. Though lacking love, Eliphaz speaks truth that will encourage us in our walks with the Lord.

This Lord’s Day, we enter into the first dialogue between Job and his friends with Eliphaz leading the way. We will learn from him the good traits needed to effectively counsel the hurting, the not so good traits in counseling, and truths about our God helping us to grow in our relationship with Him.

This Lord’s Day, we enter into an overview of the dialogues which will cover the majority of the book of Job. In listening to the advice from Job’s friends and his responses, we will learn how not to counsel suffering believers.

This Lord’s Day, we enter into the darkest chapter in the Old Testament book of Job. What we will see is how deep in spiritual depression and spiritual darkness a true believer may go and not because of sin. This is a much needed emphasis today as many true Christians are experiencing dark times in their lives.

This Lord’s Day, we encounter more characters in Job’s story – his three friends. As we observe them, we find great qualities necessary to be a true friend as defined by their example and the scripture.

This Lord’s Day, the second trial from Satan is upon Job. We learn of the evil’s one relentless attacks, God’s permission, and Job’s faithful resolve despite now the tremendous physical suffering he will endure.
