In this sermon we will wrap up the examination of the marriage relationship as in influencer in our culture. In this message we focus on the role of the husband in a salt and light marriage.

The Apostle Peter is showing us how to live as salt and light in a decaying culture. He does so by identifying three relationships which are to influence our culture for the Lord Jesus; our lives as public citizens, on our jobs, and in our marriages. We will begin looking at the last one – marriage – and the roles of wives and husbands in a salt and light marriage.

In our journey through 1 Peter, we now come to the Apostle is showing us the ultimate example of submission in the Lord Jesus. He serves as the model for our submission in all relationships.

In this sermon we continue to look at the three relationships where submission is called for – our public lives as citizens, our vocational lives in the workplace and home life, and our marriages. We will look at how submission is applied in salvation, sanctification, and service which sets the foundation for living as salt and light in our public lives and our family relationships.
