In this sermon we will wrap up the examination of the marriage relationship as in influencer in our culture. In this message we focus on the role of the husband in a salt and light marriage.
The Apostle Peter is showing us how to live as salt and light in a decaying culture. He does so by identifying three relationships which are to influence our culture for the Lord Jesus; our lives as public citizens, on our jobs, and in our marriages. We will begin looking at the last one – marriage – and the roles of wives and husbands in a salt and light marriage.
In our journey through 1 Peter, we now come to the Apostle is showing us the ultimate example of submission in the Lord Jesus. He serves as the model for our submission in all relationships.
1 PETER 5:10-11 – And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
